Meeting the second Tuesday of each month at
the
Contra Costa Water District Office
President
Ken Housfeld call the
meeting to order. There were 54 member present and 1 guests. It was
a good day to be the guest. Ken Warren won the special raffle prize. A GARRET
PINPOINTER!
Club dues for 2011 can be paid
at the next meeting. $24 single, $30 Family, A family membership would be
when 2 or more members are active hunters, but
any family can be a family membership.
Our next
meeting will be Tuesday the 8th of March.
The attendance raffle was won
by Steve Bava winning 12 tickets to the
main raffle.
Julie Romeo won 6 tickets.
The Silver .10 Dime
or $2.00 would have been won by Mike Waters if
he was there. Sorry Mike.
There
were 2 Dos Pecos Gold coin
winners this month. The winners were Leo Del Toro and Jack Gant.

Metal Detector
Permit
A permit is required to use a metal
detector in the Regional Parks. Use of metal
detectors is limited to beach areas, lawns, and other
developed park areas. Metal detecting is NOT allowed in natural parkland areas,
wilderness areas, or regional preserves. There are other restrictions. For more
information, and to obtain a permit, please call the Reservations Department at
1-888-327-2757, option 2, 3. This $20
permit is good for 2 years and is non-refundable.

When hunting slow down and take your
time. Don't pass up targets because your moving to
fast.
Also keep your coil parallel to the
ground. When you reach the outer part of the swing the coil should be at the
same place as it is when it is right in front of you.
